Job description

Stepping into this executive role at Docfield will see you take direct responsibility for the execution and management of our growth strategy. This requires you to not only build out our sales functions and funnel in new verticals, but also to ensure the company is in a position to process this expected growth from an operational and processes point of view. Your primary goal consists off scaling our platform from €1 million to €10 million ARR across new geographies and verticals. You are equally excited by the opportunity of further developing the teams and culture at Docfield.

About You :

  • 6+ years of experience in SaaS enterprise or high growth start-up environments.

  • +2 years of experience in scaling B2B SaaS Scale-Ups, ideally from €1m to €10m+.

  • Commercially and strategically savvy with an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Expertise in Sales, Growth (including PLG), Customer Lifecycle Management and Product Market Fit optimisation.

  • A hands-on mentality with an ability to relentlessly drive results. You'll do yourself what others can't.

  • Bachelor Degree and a (near) native English and Dutch tongue.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • PLUS: in-depth experience in contracting and related business processes.

Why Docfield?

We are a diverse team of 15, based in Amsterdam. We are giving time back to people on the work floor, helping them to reduce error-prone copy-pasting, and enabling talent to focus on what matters. Docfield has developed a single-source-of-truth platform for all things contracting, leveraging our connected smart templates and smart fields to reduce parallel truths and friction in workflows. We empower our customers to focus on their core strengths, by automating their daily business tasks and manual document management so that they can work smarter, deliver better results and increase collaboration.

Why now?

Docfield is a market leader in the Dutch Education sector. We've also validated product-market fit with paying and loyal customers in the IT Service industry. Now it is time to expand and ramp up. We have defined several areas we want to target and built some initial traction. We recently closed a seed round to fuel this ambition and invest into organisational capabilities and talent. The CCO role has been created to secure dedicated commercial leadership over the development and implementation of the Go-To-Market strategy, and top-line revenue growth.

What? (You’ll be doing)

This role is a newly created position that is currently managed by the CEO. As CCO, you will report directly to the CEO and take charge of sales & marketing across all verticals and channels (currently 3 FTE). You will have the option to further build your team.

Your primary focus will be first to assess the landscape, define and prioritise strategic market directions, where to play and how to win, and create growth opportunities in new markets and verticals beyond the currently served educational market.

Subsequently, you will lead, set direction, implement, and track performance of these strategies and next steps to ensure focus and achievement of your growth goals. You will make sure you build the organisational capabilities required and align with other teams to enable the growth.

Responsibilities within your role:

  • Development and implementation of a Go-to-Market strategy roadmap (where to play and how to win) to grow from €1 million to €10 million revenue;

  • Expanding product-market fit beyond our education vertical into IT service companies and beyond;

  • Building organisational capabilities to win (team, processes, and tools);

  • Proactively grow revenue and customer base by customer-acquisition, partnership and retention programs;

  • Create, maintain, and evaluate OKRs;

  • Lead and further develop the sales team from the front, in a hands-on manner.

What we offer

  • A new unique commercial leadership role that needs to be shaped;

  • Opportunity to make impact and to take the business to the next level;

  • Work in an international and dynamic playing field with great people;

  • Competitive compensation (including equity, option to buy in);

  • Office in the heart of Amsterdam (TNW @ Singel 542);

  • Employee perks: sunny balcony, fresh fruit, games, and drinks;

  • 25 holiday days and 8 free days to spend on any public holiday;

  • Company MacBook.

After your application via the below button, we will carefully assess your profile versus our criteria. If we see a potential match, we will invite you for a short introduction video call. If we see mutual value-potential during this call, we invite you for a cup of coffee at our office with Tim, our CEO and founder. During this meeting, we will introduce you to Docflow, discuss the content of the role and ask you tons of questions about why the role fits you and what makes you a great Chief Commercial Officer. In case of mutual interest we will deep dive in the next rounds. We’ll keep you informed about our decisions throughout the application process.
